The essence of the award is to recognize women who live in line with the 2021 International Women’s day theme #ChooseToChallenge and have chosen to challenge gender stereotypes and norms in their various passions.
The annual Lioness Awards will champion the Global Sustainable Development Goals, that address issues pertaining to women’s participation in making the world a better place and form the bedrock of International Women’s month. This in line with the ongoing Gender Equity campaign by The UN, to celebrate the 26th anniversary of the Beijing Conference on Women.
